Looking for an alternative to KiwiSwingers?

Sites like KiwiSwingers – and why we’re different

If you’ve been part of the New Zealand swinging scene for a while, there’s a good chance you’ve come across KiwiSwingers.

It’s been around for a long time, and plenty of people have used it to find playmates, arrange parties and make friendships along the way.

But perhaps you’ve found yourself wishing things worked a little differently. Maybe you’ve become frustrated with the user experience, found the website a little dated, experienced annoying outages or simply felt that there was room for something fresh.

Well, darling, that’s exactly why Spice Me Up, Lucy came along!

So, Why Another Lifestyle Website?

Let’s be honest. We’re not pretending that we’ve invented an entirely new way of connecting people in the lifestyle.

You’ll still find profiles, messaging, photographs, events and all the familiar things you’d expect from a swinging community website.

But we think there’s quite a bit of room to do those things better.

Spice Me Up Lucy has been built around a few things we believe really matter.

A modern, enjoyable experience.

We think using a lifestyle website should be fun, not frustrating. We’ve put considerable thought into the user experience, making it easy to find people, discover events, manage friendships and have conversations.

It should feel like a modern website, because that’s what it is!

People who understand the lifestyle.

This isn’t a website built by someone who has simply spotted an opportunity in the adult dating market.

Behind Spice Me Up, Lucy is a couple with years of experience in the lifestyle, particularly within the Auckland scene, and a genuine appreciation of what makes this community special.

We’ve experienced the friendships, the parties, the excitement of meeting new people and, perhaps most importantly, the enjoyment of belonging to a community where people genuinely look out for each other.

That experience has influenced the way we’ve built the site and the things we’ve chosen to prioritise.

Events at the heart of things.

This is probably one of the biggest things we want to get right.

We don’t believe a lifestyle community should just be a collection of profiles, with everyone sitting behind their keyboards waiting for someone interesting to appear.

The real magic happens when people actually get together.

That’s why events are such an important part of Spice Me Up, Lucy. From large lifestyle parties and private house gatherings to smaller social evenings and coffee catch-ups, we want to make it easy to discover what’s happening and get involved.

We want events to bring people together, create friendships and give others a reason to join.

Because a community grows when people have something to participate in.

Let’s Talk About Membership Numbers

Now, this is where we’re going to be a little different.

We’re a brand-new website, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise.

Established websites can quote some very impressive membership figures. KiwiSwingers, for example, has been around for a couple of decades and has boasted figures of around 155,000 users.

That’s a big number!

But if you know anything about the lifestyle scene in New Zealand, you’ll know it’s measured in thousands, not tens of thousands – and certainly not hundreds of thousands. There’s an important distinction between the number of accounts ever registered over a 20-year period and the number of people who are actually active today.

But here’s the thing: we don’t see that as a limitation. We see it as an opportunity.

The New Zealand lifestyle community is relatively small and interconnected. People get to know each other, familiar faces pop up at different events, friendships develop and word gets around.

And that’s actually rather lovely.

We want to build on that. Not just another enormous database of usernames, but a genuine community where people can recognise familiar faces, make friendships and feel they’re part of something.

A place where the connections matter just as much as the profiles.

Yes, We’re New – And That’s Rather Exciting!

Let’s not beat around the bush.

If you join Spice Me Up Lucy today, you won’t find thousands of profiles waiting for you.

We’re still building our membership, and there are plenty more people we’d love to welcome through the door.

But there’s another way of looking at that.

You’re joining at the beginning of something.

You get to help shape the community, introduce people you already know, attend some of the early events and become part of the group that establishes what Spice Me Up, Lucy is all about.

You won’t be joining a crowded room where everyone already knows everyone else. You’ll be helping us fill that room!

And if you’ve got friends in the lifestyle, couples you’ve met at parties or people you’ve been chatting to online, why not invite them along too?

The more genuine people who join, the more opportunities there are for everyone.

Real People. Genuine Connections.

Something we’re particularly passionate about is making sure the people you see on Spice Me Up Lucy are genuine.

We want real couples, real singles, real polycules and real people who are genuinely interested in being part of the lifestyle community.

Not hundreds of fake profiles, anonymous accounts or people who sign up simply to lurk.

We’re still growing, but we’d much rather build a smaller community of genuine members than chase impressive-looking registration figures.

We also want to encourage people to do more than simply browse.

Complete your profile, introduce yourselves, start conversations, make friends and get involved.

That’s how a community develops.

More Than Just Another Website

One of the things we’ve learned from being involved in the lifestyle is that the friendships often become just as important as the parties.

You might meet a couple at an event, arrange a coffee a few days later, discover you have plenty in common and end up becoming firm friends.

You might find yourself attending parties with the same group of people, organising dinners, catching up for drinks or simply enjoying each other’s company.

That’s the sort of community we want to encourage.

And that’s why we’ve built features around events, friendships, group chats and connecting with people, rather than simply giving you another place to browse profiles.

We want Spice Me Up, Lucy to be somewhere you actually participate.

Why Auckland First?

We’re starting locally, with Auckland at the heart of things.

It’s where we know the scene, where we have connections and where we believe we can make the biggest difference initially. Well – there, and Morrinsville – Morrinsville is where it rocks – don’t laugh – I’m serious.

But we’re not intending to stop there.

Our ambition is to grow across New Zealand. There are plenty of wonderful lifestyle communities in other cities, and we’d love to bring the same approach to them.

But we’re not going to spread ourselves too thinly before we’ve established a strong community at home.

We’d rather build something meaningful in one place before trying to be everywhere.

So, Why Not Give Us a Go?

If you’re looking for a completely established website with thousands of active profiles today, we’re just not there yet.

But if you’re looking for something fresh, built by people who understand the lifestyle, with a genuine emphasis on events, friendships and real-world connections, we’d love you to come and have a look.

Think of it as arriving at the bar before the crowds.

Secure your seat, get to know a few familiar faces, introduce your friends and enjoy watching the place come alive as the night draws on.

You might even find that being here from the beginning makes it all the more enjoyable.

We’re not promising to be the biggest lifestyle website in New Zealand.

We’re setting out to build one of the friendliest, most engaging and genuinely connected lifestyle communities around.

And we’d love you to be part of it.

Connect. Explore. Belong.

See you on the inside, darling!
